Esteem Dance Crew won silver at the SDNZ Regionals and also qualified for the Nationals in Auckland this April. The girls will be training four times a week leading up to the championships and adjusting their regionals routine to perfect an even more dynamic and unique routine. Not only will they do dance training but weekly fitness training is compulsory. Esteem is pumped for the challenge of nationals and can’t wait to show the other teams from around NZ, what they’ve got.
On Saturday 19th March, eighteen Pump Dance hip hop crews competed in the SDNZ Wellington Regional competition. Our youngest dancer was only 6 years old and competing for the first time, whereas for some of our seniors it was their sixth consecutive year. Esteem, Phoenix, Kingdom, Sassy and Onyx crews took out placings and qualified for the Nationals in April. Congratulations to all our dancers who gave 100% on that stage! It’s a great start to the year.
A reminder for adult dancers that our adult hip hop, jazz and contemporary classes begin from Monday 15th February. There is adult jazz and contemporary on Wednesdays 8pm-9pm and adult hip hop on Thursdays 7pm-8pm. All classes cost $12 or you can purchase a ten trip ticket for $110. No need to register, just turn up ready to boogie! A fun way to get into shape after all those Christmas treats!
